I am so glad you made this game! I was waiting ages for a proper RPG game with Avatars. When I downloaded it and found out you can make your own RPG I brought straight away. Havn't had a chance to have a real mess about with it yet but was wondering if it was possible to publish Singleplayer Storys that we have made for other people in the community to play? If not, then maybe you should think about releasing an Update that makes this possible. Can't wait to push this to it's limit :D
Nick5/28/2011 - 12:37 AM
You can share adventures with other players.
Baldrik5/28/2011 - 12:54 AM
(Here I am praising the game again.) This is in my opinion THE best indie game on Xbox!
kalabos5/28/2011 - 4:40 AM
Found this game yesterday 240 points I ever spent. I havnt played much of the single player yet but im loving the builder. Got 2 of my friends to buy it and working on another 2. Cant praise you enough without sounding like a numpty so Ill just say thank you very much. I do have a question, will I get in trouble for building an old RPG?...lets call it an 'abridgment'. kalabos is my gamertag so anyone want to share builds or MP, hit me up.
Lord Pootington5/28/2011 - 4:51 AM
Feel free to create anything you want with our editor, even if it's a 1to1 recreation of some of your favorite games in the past. Remember too - any profile Avatars on your XBOX or your Friends can be placed into your game as characters, so you're free to design a legion of Avatars that you can then drop into your game. This includes any of the custom-purchased equipment available in the XBOX360 store, so you can really infuse some "character" into your game. I know some have already begun planning "Star Wars" RPGs that utilize all the cool Star Wars gear available for sale - imagine building your very own Star Wars RPG filled with Storm Troopers and Wookies!
kalabos5/28/2011 - 5:47 AM
Cool, thanks. Im working on my favorite RPG Morrowind. I have Seyda Neen finished and will be doing Balmora later today..
@kalabos5/28/2011 - 9:41 AM
LOL. I'm glad you are excited about the designer but recreating Morrowind will probably take you about 10 years. Maybe if you create a bite-sized version that would be pretty cool.
Nick5/28/2011 - 11:33 AM
Recreating anything in morrowind would be amazing. One of my favorite games of all time. Of course I know you won't be able to recreate the game, but maybe a town or two which would be neat.
Mental5/28/2011 - 2:00 PM
Is there some sort of Avatar legends forum we should post bugs/errors to? I dont see anything specific for this type of thing.
Bolo5/28/2011 - 3:24 PM
Yes the site needs a forum for sharing and talking about the game.
Slade Strife5/28/2011 - 3:24 PM
Well I been working on my multiple muliplayer maps and it's gonna be longer then 4 maps but it will be worth the wait I promise
barkers crest5/28/2011 - 5:03 PM
I'm working on forums for the website along with design help documentation. Please be patient as it will take me about a week to complete. For now you can report bugs here in the comments.
Sarah5/28/2011 - 7:32 PM
Awesome game! Have been waiting for this since I heard about it in April. My husband and I are already working on a fun, quirky adventure. Hope to share it soon. Thanks for doing the tutorials. Looking forward to more of them as we're running into things we're having trouble figuring out.
Mental5/28/2011 - 8:04 PM
Well i just completed the singleplayer and the only quest i could not complete was the lost son quest because he dissapeared after talking to him the first time. The only other bug/error i had was one time it crashed while i was attempting to save (something about memory)
@Mental5/28/2011 - 8:26 PM
The Lost Son is still there... you just need to be patient...
SoonerStein5/29/2011 - 3:04 AM
Didn't even try it, just downloaded it because I am a huge fan of Avatar Golf. Sad that EA has tons of money and Tiger still doesn't touch the game as far as online and fun. I do own the new Tiger Masters, best Tiger in years, but I still prefer Avatar Golf for online. I do like RPG's though so purchasing this for $3 was really a no brainer.
SoonerStein5/29/2011 - 3:14 AM

Wow, sorry about that. My browser refreshed and it posted my message again?
kalabos5/29/2011 - 5:31 AM
Got the Balmora map finished, just need to do the Quests. Looking to do Syda Neen, Balmora Cauldera, Suran, Pelagiad Red mountain and the fishing villages on the west coast follow the bulk of the main quest, cut out the House stuff and add alot of the side quest. I really need a key pad though...worried about doing multiple jobs from the same NPC...time to watch the tutorials I think.
@@Mental5/29/2011 - 7:39 AM
Mind explaining what you mean. I finished the main story yesterday and i have gone back to that position multiple times. The question mark is still on the map but the boy is not there... Also I seem to have missed the 2nd of the 3 mystery keys... i'd be really pissed if it was somehow tied to the lost boy mission. (I have 1 and 3)
DKGamer855/29/2011 - 7:44 AM
Got this yesterday after just reading the discription and seeing screenies, didnt need a trial :P Awesome game and tool. Put more time into this than a lot of retail games already :) Working on a version of a game i once made with another game maker tool atm. Lots of fun :)
@Mental5/29/2011 - 8:18 AM
Let's just put it this way: the Lost Son only appears during a specific time. He is a ghost after all...
Sarah5/29/2011 - 9:02 AM
On dialogue, is there any way to link forward? I have three separate dialogue options and I want them all to link forward to the same end result, but I don't see any way to do it.
Sarah5/29/2011 - 9:22 AM
How do you make an avatar's skin green? I'm using one of my extra accounts that does not have gold subscription and I have very few choices on skin color. Is it something that you can only do with a gold subscription? And is there a reason why there isn't an avatar designer in the game? If it can create a random avatar or choose an existing avatar from accounts, I'm just curious how much harder it is to have an avatar designer?
Sarah5/29/2011 - 9:36 AM
Can you use monsters as NPCs? It'd be really cool to have a skeleton town or an orc town that the player can interact with.
Sarah5/29/2011 - 9:39 AM
Can we create titles for our adventures?
Sarah5/29/2011 - 10:35 AM
Also about skin color, how do you make the luminescent skin for the ghost? Is it just the palest skin choice? Or another effect that is added on?
Sarah5/29/2011 - 10:36 AM
And when I meant titles, I meant the reward titles for doing a quest or accomplishing something.
Sarah5/29/2011 - 10:51 AM
This might be a bug, but for heal points, when I use it, it briefly displays the current quest information. Is it supposed to do that? Otherwise, there's no information displayed that says anything about being healed, other than the life bar going up.
barkers crest5/29/2011 - 11:55 AM
@Sarah There is no way to link forward on dialogue. ** As for the Avatar Designer that is not something Microsoft will let us do in game so it just isn't possible. ** For the skin on the ghost, well, any Avatar displayed in game was built from the in dash avatar designer so you'll have to find ways to get creative with what is available. ** The heal event should only show the life bar go up. If you see anything else then you might be triggering another event such as the activate quest of complete objective event.
Sarah5/29/2011 - 12:18 PM
Thanks for the responses. I'll have to check the heal point to see what else is going on there. I don't remember connecting it to anything else. Building with what I have for my avatar is sucky because I refuse to spend so much on avatar parts. I'm guessing for green skin and glowing white, I'll have to go through the shop and see what does that. Then see if any of my friends have bought those parts. On another point, are you going to do a written tutorial on HP & balancing monsters attacks and HP? I don't think it would make a very good video tutorial, but I'm having trouble grasping HPs since there is no display for the player on the exact number. At least not one that I can find.
Sarah5/29/2011 - 12:22 PM
Oh, and I hope you don't see my questions as complaining. So far, I am enjoying building with your game much more than previous games I've played that have the same function. Some games are just too technical in their build function. Others are so minimalistic, there's no point. I think you've made something that's a pretty good balance of simplicity and functionality. It's just without a built-in help/tutorial on building, some of the details and nuances are hard to grasp.
Mental5/29/2011 - 12:51 PM
Thanks for the tip, now all of my quests are complete. I still cannot find the second of the three mystery keys though.
Sarah5/29/2011 - 5:06 PM
What does the yellow question mark mean when I'm making a terrain curve? I created one terrain curve to do cobblestone over most of the town. Now I'm trying to do a second area of cobblestone to go along the wall of the town. It partially overlaps the first terrain curve. When I hit X for done, it jumps me to the original node, which is now yellow, and there is a yellow question mark. What am I supposed to do?
@Sarah5/29/2011 - 6:10 PM
Terrain Curves cannot over lap at the edges or be too close to one another. But you can place a terrain curve inside another provided they are not too close at the edges. The yellow "?" is showing you where the problem is.
Tai ketsue5/29/2011 - 6:38 PM
Just bought the game. It's great but I'm wondering something. I'm building an Adventure map and I don't know how to place a player start location. Could you explain how please? Thanks!
Sarah5/29/2011 - 6:57 PM
Thanks so much for the explanation! Got another question. We want to activate a fountain during the day and have it off at night. We've set the fountain to be activated by an event. We created an event trigger, but don't see any options for having it trigger according to the time of day. What are we missing?
Samanoskue5/29/2011 - 9:04 PM
Love this game and this is the best action RPG tool set I've ever seen or had the pleasure to mess around with.
Baldrik5/29/2011 - 10:39 PM
I have built 4 Multiplayer maps, each one completely different from the last! I love this game!
Outsider5/30/2011 - 12:32 AM
Great game, only problem i have is how to make a chest open only with a key. i made a trigger that works, but it doesn't seem like the right way of doing it
Outsider5/30/2011 - 12:35 AM
Also, things i have found out that i didn't know. but was helpful to me. 1: Hold left bumper in the builder to move the camera 2: hold left bumper while placing walls to make them the same angle the as the last one.
Fams5/30/2011 - 1:54 AM
Any programs that can help with map planning/ story and dialoge creation?
names dont apply5/30/2011 - 5:32 AM
Since there's no forum for suggestions or anything I wanted to know do you plan on making more "enemy" skins? .. One major aspect of most rpg's in early areas are the following enemies, Bears? Wolves? Slime/Gels? Boars? rats, any chance we could see any of these? Right now the pool of enemies doesn't allow for much variation between the start enemies and what should be more end game mid game enemies. Even in those you could have a boss type (ie) dire wolves, great bears, etc. Then you get to swamps and beaches and there's really no enemies for that area like crabs or Lagoon (creatures)maybe a re skin(Trolls). This could also go a long way in helping flesh out players games. Any hopes for different types maybe a dragon skin, or other mythical type creatures, griffins, harpies, etc? Or how about a few more humanoid chars like mages or since we have skeletal archers, why not just human archers? ...
names dont apply5/30/2011 - 5:36 AM
When watching my wifey run around your adventure the other thing i noticed which while actually somewhat being drawn in was how dead the world actually seems. Lots of area where nothing but green trees and more debris, or mountainous ridges, one thing I thought of was what im calling "ambient skins", what i mean by this is "objects" such as Bunnies, deer, if you do wolves would be easy to import a dog skin, chickens for the farm, boars wouldn't be hard to re skin into pigs. These seem like small "ambient skins" that can make the world feel more alive just to put in open areas. Any hopes we could see something like that in a future update? I saw someone mention on one of your other comments about more structures, "broken structures" gives an idea of a area being beat down, or even if possible structures/buildings that are burning(?), catapults, battering rams (stationary)just for cosmetic effect.
name still doesnt apply5/30/2011 - 5:39 AM
You have a great game here for an indie title w/ a lot of potential .. congrats .. and i wish you well on this endeavor
Nick5/30/2011 - 10:09 AM
Tai ketsue: "I'm building an Adventure map and I don't know how to place a player start location. Could you explain how please? Thanks!" Select Travel Locations, set this location to active. Now from the main designer tab hit RB. (Go to the patch with the name and description of your adventure.) Choose the start map and start location. Feel free to watch the tutorials as they answer questions like this and many more. =)
Nick5/30/2011 - 10:10 AM
Sarah: "Got another question. We want to activate a fountain during the day and have it off at night. We've set the fountain to be activated by an event. We created an event trigger, but don't see any options for having it trigger according to the time of day. What are we missing?" For animating structures they can either be turned off or on. Sorry but there is no set time for them to work in. =(
Nick5/30/2011 - 10:14 AM
Outsider: "Great game, only problem i have is how to make a chest open only with a key. i made a trigger that works, but it doesn't seem like the right way of doing it." We'll be honest locks on chests were a feature added right at the end of development so this may be a little complicated but here is how you can do it: -Have a locked chest. -Have an hidden trigger over that Chest. - When you receive your key show the hidden trigger. -Now have the events on the trigger do the following: -Unlock Chest, Remove inventory item key, show message: "Unlocked chest." Now you have a chest that unlocks. Of course, you could always do it an easier ways that don't look quite as cool, but are time saving.
Nick5/30/2011 - 10:16 AM
Fams: "Any programs that can help with map planning/ story and dialoge creation?" I use pencil and paper. However programs like word documents, flow charts, and others may prove useful. It's all about what works for you. (I also had an excel document to keep track of all items, enemies, etc.)
Nick5/30/2011 - 10:22 AM
@names don't apply Thanks for the suggestions. I think live animals on a map may be a bit much for us though. Having creatures like that can really kill the resources of a map in a game like this. There would also have to be animations, AI, etc. It's a ton of work for something that may or may not be better spent else where. (Not to mention Sounds as well from these animals.) Of course with all that said, it would be pretty awesome to finally have some cows on Valley Farms... I'd have to change the sign to the famr though: "Don't get your hopes up, there are no cows." Thanks for the feedback everyone, keep it coming. =)
Malt5/30/2011 - 11:18 AM
GLITCH REPORT I found that you can get stuck in an infinite dialog loop if you chose to loop back into spot where there is only on dialog option that leads back into the loop. This pretty much locks you into the same dialog chain and if you pause the game through the guide button it causes an error.
Mike5/30/2011 - 11:28 AM
Any chance that there will be an update allowing us to post our maps on XBL so that you don't have to press share any time? Also another update I would like to see is the ability to have even smaller maps and ceilings and walls so we can make things like houses. Last thing I'd like to see is modern objects such as cars (non-moving of course)

Mike5/30/2011 - 11:41 AM
One last question, how much will the game be, since the 240msp price is only for a limited time. I already bought it, just curious.
The Largest Dog5/30/2011 - 12:50 PM
first things first, i love your game creator. love it. secondly, how do i link from one map to another? thankyou for creating such a cool creating tool for us! :)
Nick5/30/2011 - 1:49 PM
Mike where is this infinite loop dialog? Was this in the main story or a custom adventure? In regards to the XBL issue. This is impossible to do on an Indie Game. Sorry Mike. We would LOVE to do this and would be all over it, if it was possible. =( As for the price increase, the max price is 400MSP.
Nick5/30/2011 - 1:51 PM
The Largest Dog: Create a travel location on both maps. Now create a trigger that uses the event transport hero.
Mike5/30/2011 - 2:11 PM
Oh that wasn't me who said that (about the infinite dialog loops), that was Malt.
Nick5/30/2011 - 2:23 PM
Ah, sorry Matt... I mean Mike! (That actually wasn't intentional, but I thought it was ironic so I didn't backspace it out.)
The Largest Dog5/30/2011 - 2:27 PM
thankyou, i figured it out. my problem was i didnt create a second map with the same game, i was trying to link to my first creation on another save, silly me :) again i love this thing! ps. is there a way to change a paths width? other than drawing more paths side by side?
Malt.5/30/2011 - 2:55 PM
The error came up from a builder dialog im working on. I was making a dialog tree and one option went down a big line that stretched about 4 little dialog boxes. The last one looped back but not to the start but the second one. I got stuck reading the same three lines over and over. when i paused the game through the guide button it caused the game to glitch. Some error code came up that i failed to record yet it told me to report it. So here I am. BTW this is an AWESOME GAME LIEK ZOMG!!!!111!!!!!1!!!
Nick5/30/2011 - 4:34 PM
The Largest Dog: No there is no width option, however you can try a few things: -Make multiple paths. -Use a terrain curve instead. -Blend the terrain curve with a path to smooth out the edges.
Inferno5/30/2011 - 5:39 PM
I've had multiple problems with the game freezing/crashing when in the editor mode... Is this a known issue? Earlier I lost around 2 hours of work because the game froze while I was finishing up a map, forcing me to restart my xbox. Unfortunately I had never saved, so I have to start over. Definitely going to start saving every 10 minutes now. Very solid game overall though.

Bolo5/30/2011 - 6:34 PM
Saving takes like 2 seconds so its not a big problem for me if it crashes.
Inferno5/30/2011 - 7:34 PM
Yeah, I don't have a problem with it now that I know to do it.
Babolast5/30/2011 - 7:36 PM
Is there a way to change the amount of time between waves of enemies in a multiplayer map? I would like to lower the time from 30 seconds to 10 or 15 if that's possible.
Nick5/30/2011 - 9:16 PM
There is no way to change the timer. @Inferno were you doing anything in particular when it frooze? Did your whole Xbox freeze or just the game? Did you get an Error?
Bolo5/30/2011 - 10:37 PM
I cant for the life of me figure out how to make isalnds. The water always glitches out. I have a feeling Its possible but cant do it!!!!
Malt5/30/2011 - 11:21 PM
I have a two requests that I hope will not be too hard to implement. Is there a way to save an avatar NPC like you can save a monster? Like if I wish to use the same NPC in more than one map is there a way to transfer that NPC or make a direct copy of it? I would also like to be able to use monsters as NPCs themselves. like a standing troll that just wants to make peace and not war sorta thing.
@Inferno5/31/2011 - 12:07 AM
I use to have the freezing crash problem with Avatar Golf, until I got one of the new slim 360's, haven't had a problem since. I am not saying that is why but Avatar Golf has an earlier version of this editor and it seems to be the reason I had the problem.
kalabos5/31/2011 - 10:17 AM
So still working on Morrowind, got Seyda Neen Balmora, Ashlands still got a couple more areas to do. Got the Main story and fighters guild quest line nearly finished its just taking time doing dialog with a pad... I've got work arounds for most things I do have some questions. Can you advise of a way to get the weather to chance regularly..like a trigger that if its sunny it will make it rain and vice versa? I have found the NPC limit for an area but is there a limit for areas themselves. Thanks again for this game, I think people should remember this is an indie game, work with what they have instead of criticise what it doesnt have. A bit of imagination, trial and error, its amazing what this 240 point game can do..
Xbl- XxMotoBEASTxX5/31/2011 - 12:49 PM
This game is really cool but the only problem I'm having is when I'm in singleplayer editor mode the game crashes and Freezes my xbox when I try to change the textures in the grass. And I think it would be pretty cool to have mounts and some kind of cave system that you can put into the game. Also I hope you guys release some DLC (if you can do that with this game idk) like new tree types like huge mushrooms and so were able to clang the color of the ground and grass.
Inferno5/31/2011 - 2:48 PM
@ Nick, I believe it occurred when I was building a path for tall grass. I didn't get an error and my whole xbox just froze (not just the game). Maybe the problem is with my xbox and not the game like "@Inferno" said. Anyway, it's not a big problem. @ Bolo, to make islands, I create a body of water and then make terrain curves for the islands. I made a multiplayer map consisting of 6 islands connected by bridges, and I think it came out nicely if anyone wants to try it out. GT: z INFERN0 <----zero

This game is amazing! In my opinion it puts things like Fable 3 to shame!!! TO SHAME I SAY!!! I love it :) 1 tinee tiny critisism i have though (and I only say it because i genuinely love this game) is that the avatars in game are all dressed AWFUL! I dont know if restrictions set my microsoft or they are pricing you out of the market, but would it not of been possible to create your own avatar wear for the game? And subsequentially sell all the gear you created to us in the Avatar marketplace? First thing i did when i started this game was went and bought the rogue outfit from the "fantasy" section of the marketplace. I really think unique made costumes (like guard uniforms and so on) would of made this game even more amazing than it already is! Please dont get me wrong though people, i genuinely love this game :) thanks barkers crest!!!
stickmanmeyhem5/31/2011 - 5:05 PM
AWESOME game. I downloaded the trial just to see what it was and fell in love almost instantly. I'm definitely looking forward to building my own adventure(s) and sharing them with my friends.
Fandango5/31/2011 - 5:18 PM
Fancy graphics. Lame gameplay. Terrible jokes. Cheezy 90's style cleverly worded mission titles. And a shallow map editor without an ingame tutorial. Just like fortress Craft, this games is fated on Updates and Patches, otherwise its a big fail. and this sort of genre is a leap from making simple and slow golf and baseball games. Good Luck Barkers Crest please make the game better!
Nick5/31/2011 - 5:44 PM
@Bolo: To make an island. Make a large section of water. Make a terrain curve inside just not as large. Presto! If the water glitches out try to follow what I do in my first tutorial building water. (The multiplayer first tutorial OR first Adventure tutorial.)
Nick5/31/2011 - 5:48 PM
Kalabos: There is no map limit I'm pretty sure. It's based on how big your harddrive is... So maybe a million? (I have about 50 maps in the Single Player, so if there is a limit, it's more than that.)
Nick5/31/2011 - 5:51 PM
General Questions: Can we release DLC? We can do updates/patches but NOT paid DLC. (Microsoft Restrictions.) In regards to Avatar Gear: We cannot make Avatar Gear OR have NPCs wear Avatar Gear. (Against the rules.) Also thanks for the bug reports, we're hard at work tracking them down I ensure you. ;)
Nick5/31/2011 - 5:54 PM
@Xbl- XxMotoBEASTxX Can you explain how you get thee crashes when changing textures?
barkers crest5/31/2011 - 6:01 PM
@Fandango Did you just play the trial or did you purchase and play the full version?
@barkers crest5/31/2011 - 6:41 PM
Clearly only the trial - if he'd have purchased the full game, he'd know that the cheesy 90's jokes are only in the demo.
Fandango5/31/2011 - 6:52 PM
No i bought the full game, i didnt even play the trial. idk how far the trial goes but theres a sign that says Dark Forest "we would say woods but we dont want to get sued" /thats what i mean by bad jokes. theres a ton. and the mission titles such as finding rocks is titled "between a rock and a hard Place" *90's clever word mission title* cmon guys this game is so been there done that. but i guess thats the point of the game? to make your own story and the main adventure is just to show you what you can create. i mean cmon, monsters comin from the darkness? how many times has that been the story.
Fandango5/31/2011 - 6:55 PM
not to mention how when you were denied by indie marketplace like 3x you were eager every week to try again instead of holding off a month to check for glitches. how can you miss simple map editor glitches that freeze consoles? SLOPPY... VERY SLOPPY...
PillsburryHo3gee5/31/2011 - 7:00 PM
I like this game. Its fun but if your a long time RPG gamer you can find better RPG's for Windows 98 for 99c. Nice Effort Though 5 out of 5 great for avatars I like user creation. I agree there should be mounts.
barkers crest5/31/2011 - 7:13 PM
@Fandango If you have issues with me personally my email address is available on this website.
PillsburryHo3gee5/31/2011 - 7:23 PM
How do you download other peoples adventures? Only one comes up on the share option. @barkers Crest - Theres always going to be people complaining. You should make your website register only so people are held responsible for what they say and can be banned. P.S. How do you look around and zoom when your placing a building?
joshsedge5/31/2011 - 7:28 PM
Hey, I love the game! its Awesome!. I have spent a lot of time in single player editor mode and have a few questions. Can avatars be set as enemies? If not will that be in an update to come? Are you going to make more monsters for the game? Maybe Zombies, Vampires, Werewolves, Ghosts and some others mentioned in previous posts. Do the avatars I create need to have a Xbox Live in oder to be added to the game? Thanks,
joshsedge5/31/2011 - 7:29 PM
Hey, I love the game! its Awesome!. I have spent a lot of time in single player editor mode and have a few questions. Can avatars be set as enemies? If not will that be in an update to come? Are you going to make more monsters for the game? Maybe Zombies, Vampires, Werewolves, Ghosts and some others mentioned in previous posts. Do the avatars I create need to have a Xbox Live in oder to be added to the game? Thanks,
PillsburryHo3gee5/31/2011 - 7:30 PM
@joshsedge - No anyone on your friends list and i believe offline accounts if they are signed in on a second controller. But im not 100% sure i havent watched the videos

Can I make the time of day be set and never move (I can only set the time of day depending on what quest you are on?)
Outsider6/1/2011 - 2:01 AM
The only bug that freezes my xbox everytime is: if i edit a path and add a section, if that section touches either of the ones next to it i freeze. other then that the game is near perfect for me. more monsters and a 1-100% slider for drop rates would make it perfect. Great job
@Fandango6/1/2011 - 5:41 AM
"but i guess thats the point of the game? to make your own story and the main adventure is just to show you what you can create." That is actually pretty much it. We kept it lighthearted and a bit cheesy because ya gotta remember, this is an Indie game - I could've written War & Peace 2.0 or a new Xenogears for the storyline, but that would've gone over far too many peoples' heads. We wanted something that everyone could identify with and enjoy to a certain extent. And like you said, the singleplayer is also there to SHOW players all the different things that the editor is capable of - a sort of idea-generator for people. And the stuff that's in the singleplayer is only the tip of the iceberg; far for incredible stuff is possible with our editor.
@Fandango6/1/2011 - 5:48 AM
And we were only denied by the Indie Marketplace once. Yes, there are bugs in this game - EVERY game has bugs, no matter how big or small budget they are (Care Package/Javelin Glitch in MW2 anybody?) - Indie bug squishing is a difficult process because you don't have an army of testers playing 24/7 at your disposal. This game is extremely complex compared to other Indies, and the sheer number of actions you can take to cause a crash is enormous. If your game crashes, we're sorry, especially if you've lost something you were working very hard on - we simply ask that you report what happened to us with the most detail possible, and we will fix it in the next FREE UPDATE.
PutridMeat6/1/2011 - 8:35 AM
@Fandango: Dude, you are a dickless troll. @Barkers: Great game. Please continue development! Already a big fan!
Darkwyve6/1/2011 - 9:22 AM
So you can't create paid DLC, so a normal 'expansion' might not be allowed. But creating new enemies, adding mounts, (maybe an accessory slot --posted suggestions in other message stream), and another story quest, and some of the other options in a 'Sequel' (Avatar Legends II anyone?!), so it merits your time to sell for another $3-$5. With enough new added content, it would be worth it easily (Just make the maps we create with this editor cross compatible, so we could add to them :)
Nick6/1/2011 - 12:35 PM
You can move around and zoom by holding the Left Bumper while building and using your right stick and RT and LT.
Nick6/1/2011 - 12:39 PM
Darkwyve: If the game was a sequel maps wouldn't be compatible. I'm not the programming, but as far as I know this is impossible. =(
kalabos6/1/2011 - 2:04 PM
If any one is intrested I have a DEMO of my, wait for it...The Avatar Legend Scrolls: Morrowind game ready should take you about ten mins to complete it. The other parts im working on will be locked up untill I finish them. The missions are quire simple for the first area and anyone who has played Morrowind should feel right at home. Send me a Frend Request and I will invite you to my game to share. Im on most of the time so give me a shout gamer tag as above...
kalabos6/1/2011 - 2:17 PM
ON CRASHES: I have clocked up sillu amounts of hours on this and the game has crashed on me 6 or 7 times, twice with some sort of memory error. I go to the dashboard and clear the cash memory and its fine from then on. I am not technicaly minded at all but this seems to help. I noticed when I am in Play adventure (to test) then go back to the builder the initial screen before you load the level is still the last screen on the Play mode which might suggest all the info of what you have done before is clogging it up. As I said I dont know so if Im talking nonsence but it seems to work..

Nick6/1/2011 - 2:55 PM
I won't do it today, but I'll write down a few things people want to know about and do another tutorial. (Markers will be covered.)

@Moose50: How old are you? @barkerscrest: Great game but how can i get Single Player Maps from other player wich don`t be in my Friendlist?
barkers crest6/1/2011 - 5:40 PM
Edge you have to meet people who made the maps or have downloaded some from others. I'm working on some forums so we can have a thread for people interested in swapping single player maps.
Anonymous6/2/2011 - 1:50 PM
1.Needs more monsters.(More monsters, more storyline) 2.Needs more items.(More items, more storyline) 3.Needs more tutorials.(Advanced ones, better storylines) Creativity only can last for so long without these. Main problems in-game;Bug when you try to create multiple dots for paths/water.Freezes screen. Water splits in two(two different colors) when you try to create an island. No overlapping either. Game goes to a black screen if you do a dialog wrong, then sends you to dashboard. Nothing really to complain about if one has common sense.Bugs are bugs. Top 3 will help a lot. Nice game.

kalabos is your name the same as your gamertag
NikolaiLuther6/2/2011 - 6:45 PM
Game is amazing to start but I have one question. When your writing dialogue you have your starting conversation before a quest and conversation after the quest is finished. I can't get the original conversation to dissapear and when i try the whole text is gone and the character only says good bye
Vegas Guy6/2/2011 - 8:13 PM
Been a while since I was on here so I don't know if this has been adtessed. I would really really like to see some additional monsters. That was one fear I had about this game. While I am loving every minute I spend on it I really think more monsters and general world items are very much needed. Any chance of this happening?
DD Live6/3/2011 - 2:04 AM
I was able to download a couple of ppl's creations but when I load them up, I got an overlay page of text saying "error xna framework" and some other stuff. It kicks me out and I get a 360 screen that says error code 4 and it tells be to contact this site. Does anyone know what this is and how to fix it? Kalabos's Morrowind looks cool and I want to play it. Liking the game so far except for this issue.

Having troubles building in adventure mode and the tutorials are just too fast and don't answer all of my questions.
gamer0026/3/2011 - 12:29 PM
Hello, I recently ran into the unique structure limit of 40 while building the biggest city of my game. Now, that doesn't affect my city really, I just had to rework some things like less types of tombstones and benches. Now, I am curious though, and this isn't to rip apart your game at all Barker, but are there other limits on avatar characters, travel locations, or triggers on a map? This city may have 20+ travel locations, 25+ avatars, and a ton of triggers on one map. Knowing these limits can help me rework my ideas (if I need to) to fit the game. Thanks.
barkers crest6/3/2011 - 12:39 PM
@gamer002 Yes there are limits. I'm not sure what they are off the top of my head so let me check this evening and I'll post the results.
Gavin6/3/2011 - 3:37 PM
I have noticed an unbelievably large amount of players are boosting. will there be punishment for their indecent acts? Or must I be the lone chivalrous knight who only pillages those who can fight back and create pillaging fields that will not hurt the soul(and eyes)?
The Largest Dog6/3/2011 - 4:01 PM
Hello again, i have a new question. is there a way to have combat zones active only at night? thankyou :)
Anonymous6/3/2011 - 4:07 PM
Boosting is fun and it isnt. If some people dislike it,just nicely ask the ones that do enjoy it,to just put,"Boosting" in their map titles. Cant force anyone to play THEIR game the way that YOU want them too. Got to learn to work with eachother.
The Largest Dog6/3/2011 - 4:13 PM
What do you mean by "boosting"?
Gavin6/3/2011 - 5:47 PM
What i mean by boosting is they trap the AI in a location where it is imposable for them to fight back, set them to a high difficulty and farm XP and gold. Its not something that you should just except and Im tired of trying to find a room on hard and all I can find are booster, its outrageous and undermines any legitimate players stats, and is not something that should be ignored.
Anonymous6/3/2011 - 5:58 PM

The Largest Dog6/3/2011 - 6:14 PM
thankyou for explaining boosting. now i have a second question about it. does it really matter if someone decides to boost xp in a game like this? for example everygame will have different amounts given in the first place, there is no standard for xp earned right? i can make a monster give me any amount i want in the editor. so if a person wants to make a hole and sit and kill in it all day does it effect us in any way? are there leaderboards? if so then i understand that, but if theres no leaderboard then to each there own fun.
Gavin6/3/2011 - 6:58 PM
In multiplayer there is a standard for xp earned and their are leaderboards for gold and kills.
gamer0026/3/2011 - 7:05 PM
How I see boosting is like this - if they want to do it that's fine, but they are missing out on what makes this game great. Leveling up your character and progressing through the different weapons and difficulties is the fun of multiplayer. Not just having the best character possible. On one side though, you CAN have two "accounts" and boost one account just to play insane mode and then have another to level up.
The Largest Dog6/3/2011 - 10:53 PM
ah i see, well then boosting is silly, but there will always be cheaters. i'm sure there are plenty of us who play legit, we shall overcome! :) ps: anyway to activate combatzones only at night?

Has any1 found the mysterious key 2?
Bolo6/4/2011 - 3:59 PM
Is it possible to have overworld music and other music to stop playing at night. I want a quiet atmosphere at night and its really killnig the mood of my game when music plays all day and night on the map. If its not possible Im hoping for an update and also ambient sounds please. PLEASE :)
siaxin6/4/2011 - 7:52 PM
I am having the same problem as Renzo I can't find that second key anywhere can someone please help, It's driving me insane lol
Renzo6/4/2011 - 11:20 PM
I take it nobody has a clue where it is... there should be a hint in-game on where they are...
Nick6/5/2011 - 3:57 PM
I would give a better hint, but I hate spoliers. The best hint I'll give is it's on one of the WMA3 area maps.
Renzo6/5/2011 - 5:24 PM
That don't help much but thanks for the reply
barkers crest6/5/2011 - 5:33 PM
Ask in the forums and maybe someone will respond with the answer spoilered out.
Darkwyve6/11/2011 - 8:36 PM
Not sure how they overlooked it. I just did everything in the game, and came across all the keys without even trying... :) But of course I could have just gotten lucky I suppose.

Frobiewan11/30/2011 - 7:21 PM
I am really glad to find this game. You have done a very good job creating a builder platform. The only thing that I would like to see added in update is some way to design NPCs and monsters visuals. Thanks barkers.
Jimmy12/8/2011 - 6:31 AM
right, i have my quests set out, and to finish it you have to talk to the person who gave you the quest to beging with(duh) but when i start talking to him the option saying 'ye, i found the 3 soldiers' is already there below the option to start the quest. how do i change that so it's not there till the end of the quest?
@ Jimmy1/14/2012 - 10:08 AM
In the dialogue go to show conditions, objective, select the objective they just completed, and check the box with, " has completed this objective." Hope this helps!
